Love the initial cut at a saved filter view. BUT, the presentation is not that great, because half my screen is showing me the filter settings, NOT the results I'm looking for, by default.
In other words, when I save or activate a filter view, I don't need to waste all my screen real estate looking at the settings. For instance, I have a "Daily Flow" filter and an "Overdue" filter. I can now easily flip between them (big improvement!) but, on the "Daily Flow" filter half my screen space is just showing me... the filter settings. I don't need to see them... what I need to see are the results of the filter.
You could solve this by hiding filter settings (by default) when I click on a saved filter. You could optimize screen space too... mockup attached. If I click the "change/reveal" chevron, then it shows me all the filter settings. Get rid of the verbose "clear all filters" in favor of an "x." (See mockup). Scoot it all up, and I get more space.
Attaching a screenshot to demonstrate the problem with the default view, and a mockup of something that makes more sense as a default view.

Zac Hey thanks for bringing this up! We've been working on the next version of saved filters and the following things have already been added:
- Opening a filter with 2 or more filters will automatically collapse it when applying (but seeing how long some of the filter values can be like in your example, I wonder if it should just auto collapse every time instead. When switching from one saved filter to another, it will persist whatever toggle setting you currently have.
- We've removed the filter clearing functionality, you can exit out of a saved filter with a navigate back button. Instead it shows the amount of filters you have active (see attached image for an example).
Let me know if this helped and if you have any questions!

John Mavrick awesome! Looking forward to seeing the next update. On the first point -- I'd vote for consistency, e.g., always auto-collapse every time. Personally, I can't see a situation where my first action isn't going to be "meh, grumble... <click the collapse button>." :)

General Task list

considering I've got 5 different pages with lists already and will have even more I'd appreciate one view that gives me all my tasks so I can plan them more easily and have an overview of my tasks.

Save filter configurations to easily switch context (e.g. from "Work" to "Family" to "Vacation Planning")

It would be fantastic if we could save filter configurations. In my case, I'd save the attached screenshot as my "Daily Work" so I could quickly return to it. Then instead of seeing a complex list of filter criteria I would just see my "Daily Work" filter as active.
Right now, I have 3 list sources (Morgen, Obsidian, Apple Reminders). Each one has criteria. For instance, I filter out "lowest" priority tasks, in Obsidian there are some statuses ("pinned") that I never want to see, and in Apple Reminders there are family shared lists I don't want cluttering my work schedule.
That translates into a daily filter that is hard to set up. See attached screenshot.
It's laborious to configure it again, and again.
I'd like to be able to save my filter settings, e.g., "Daily Work," "Family Stuff," and "Vacation Planning." Then I can quickly switch between contexts, and focus on "work stuff," versus "family stuff."

Collapse filtered list view

Once I filter all tasks that I want to view, it would be nice to have a way to collapse and expand the filter to save space.

I love the filters, the way they operate, and that you can add as many sources as you want. I'd really like to see an option to save the filter as a view to click on for regular reference, so I can still check my integrated tasks, without having to clear and re-do the same filter every time I need it.

adding to this that linear already has a killer views feature, so being able to pull in my views from linear would be great

Unified Task List

If using Morgen with multiple tools, it would be helpful to have a single list that has all tasks together. Even read-only could be a good step.
For an example, I am using tasks on Morgen + Google Tasks + Obsidian. If needing to click across each different task lists, it's easy to miss tasks.
At this stage, whilst you can bring different tasks lists into Morgen, you still can't have a single task list!

Hi Jamie,
If you click on the filter option at the top of the tasks sidebar you can select as many task sources as you would like to create a unified task list.
Is this what you are looking for?
Danny Hatcher
Jamie That is a good idea. Does this request match what you are thinking?
Saving the filtered lists as an option to click on.
If that is the case I can merge these 2 requests.

Danny Hatcher Yes, perfect.
From my end, it seems like the Filtered view saves anyway! I'm set, cheers.
