Create Notion page with Calendar Propagation Workflow

Allow a Notion calendar database to be selected in Morgen Assist's Calendar Propagation workflow.
I use Notion to take notes in meetings. Currently, I have the Calendar Propagation sync Outlook to an interstitial Google calendar and then use another application to sync that calendar to Notion. Setting up a direct-to-Notion sync in the Calendar Propagation would be helpful.

I am curious why you use that workflow instead of the Notion Integration?

Danny Hatcher The current Notion integration is great for using Notion as a task provider. But Notion can also be a calendar provider (i.e. when someone uses a Notion database as a calendar - for example, I use it to track conferences that I'm attending [where a CFP submission might be a related task). As I understand this request (and the reason I voted it up) it is to enable using a Notion database as a calendar provider and not only a tasks provider (e.g.- as Notion Calendar does, BTW, I must say that if this is implemented it to a significant extend - being able to add Notion notes to an event probably being the line - this will blow Notion Calendar out of the water, as Morgen would be a clear superset to it).

Danny Hatcher Exactly what Michael said above. Since Notion can be a calendar, I need a way to sync my work Outlook calendar to pages in a Notion "Meetings" Database. I have a Notion DB for all my work meetings where I add notes from the meeting in Notion. The current Morgen <> Notion integration does not consider my Outlook calendar, so having a way to use the Calendar Propagation to duplicate the Outlook event in that Notion DB would provide that connection between my work calendar and my Meetings db in Notion.

Michael The pages in a Notion database are what Morgen sync across. Notion isn't a calendar provider, it gives a database view as you mention.
I assume you create a page in a Notion database to write notes on a conference. That page will appear in Morgen if the database is synced.
My guess is that when you refer to Notion as a Calendar provider you are talking about Notion pages appearing in the schedule calendar whereas in Morgen they appear in the task list.
If that is the case, the reason Morgen doesn't do this is Notion and Notion Calendar doesn't allow events/tasks to have multiple planned start/end dates whereas Morgen does. This is consistent across Morgen integrations as most other tools don't have this flexibility (multiple schedules for the same event/task)
This is why in the settings the due date is linked to 1 property for the due date, not the planned start and end. You can visualize the due date in Morgen if that helps.
Hopefully that makes sense.
As for your workflow.
If you add pages into a Notion database, I assume you add a date in the properties either manually, via a filter force or template. That date in Morgen would be a due date.
Instead of adding the date in Notion I drag it onto my Morgen calendar to schedule the event/task.
Let me know if I am misunderstanding.

Jerrod So I understand correctly you have an outlook event and are creating a page in a Notion database to take notes. Morgen then shows the database page and Outlook event at the same time scheduled (assuming you have scheduled the Notion page).
As Morgen doesn't create pages in Notion, I am not sure how the propagation workflow would work.
You could use a different tool like Zapier to create a page in Notion from an Outlook event but at this time, Morgen doesn't create pages/files/tasks in integrated tools to my knowledge.

Danny Hatcher That is what this request is for. Allow the Calendar Propagation workflow to create the event in a Notion DB.

Danny Hatcher basically what Jerrod said :)
The request is to have two (and I can get greedy and ask even for a third) forms of Notion integration - One as currently implemented for tasks (which is the feature that brough me to morgen to begin with!), especially been able to have multiple planned start/end dates; Second to have a Notion database acting as a Calendar - that is, every note is an event, having a single start and end date, free/busy status, alerts, recurrence, location, having propagation flows applied to it, etc. A functionality to create Notion notes from morgen would be a requirement for this.
