A lot of the times I need a notification for an upcoming event, I am out and about and not near my desk/computer. It would be handy to be able to customize reminders on mobile instead of just going by the default calendar setting on desktop. The functionality already exists on desktop and would be great to see on mobile. My desktop workflow uses different reminder times for different events on the same calendar: 30 min for zoom meetings, 10 min for general events, etc. Having one set reminder time for all events on a calendar on mobile feels backwards :(
