Full coloured tasks (make tasks look like events)

OK, so I'm MOSTLY using Morgen (and Google Calendar until a week or so ago) for task management, but in a timeblocking paradigm, so they're tasks, but they're calendared.
As a result, the basically all-black aesthetic of tasks doesn't work all that well for me, given the large number of task groups I've got (and because I'm timeblocking, which often means doing a bunch of similar tasks in the same block, so colours are a good way to ensure you're not being too divergent).
So...
I'd like the tasks to be full colour, not just all the same black but with a tiny colour strip
or
in the new timeblocking schema I'd like the timeblock colour to show in/through the tasks dragged over the top of the block
Either would be fine, I think.
Hopefully this makes sense :-)

Pretty please this would be so awesome! Let's tag tasks! Keep a line of the "list" color but otherwise I would use this for tasks type(s) for my workflow.

Agreed! I use different colors to represent different clients, so full-colored or even partially colored tasks would be helpful so I can get a better visual sense of how much time I've allocated per client that week and if I need to adjust things proactively. I like having the scheduled task's tick box be the color of the task list it's coming from and the bar on the left of the task be the calendar it's scheduled on, but it's honestly a bit hard to see with the tick box and the bar being fairly fine lines. Even expanding them slightly would be helpful

Color for Events and Tasks

Can I have the same color for events and tasks? Or an option to make them the same. When I check my Morgen App, the task color is white on white calendar (Programming Assignment 2), making it hard for me to understand how busy I am that day at the first glance

Absolutely makes sense. Thanks!

I use the calendar and task list colours as differentiators.
For events, I add tags to change the 'status'.
How would you show a difference between events and tasks, just the tick box?

Danny Hatcher: Yep, I can see how that works.
Thanks, I was thinking about the concept of tags for tasks as well, but need to think about it some more, and the status comment reminded me, so I've made myself a task for it :-)
Yeah, just the tick box is what I was thinking. But maybe a black strip/square behind the tickbox on the left side to show it's a task? I clearly haven't thought this bit though, and no doubt I'm a terrible UX designer anyway :-)

mic: suggesting the idea is all the devs want. The rest can be fleshed out afterwards.

mic: I would love to have the same set of tags for events and tasks, to connect them into „topics“, „goals“ or „projects“. Distinct features for all of those in addition to tags could also be great to make the planning and tracking really precise.

Joris Degen: 100 per cent - would love to have the same categories and tags across both events and tasks, given I pretty much use them very similarly :-)
