Repeating tasks in due date lists (today/tomorrow/due soon)

I think would be useful to have the detail of the repeat of a task also in the left panel in the task list.
If I mark has done a recurrent task it disappears from the left panel and doesn't appear in the overview overdue, due today, etc.... and it is seen as done in all the tasks set in the calendar.
But if this is a task I need to do regularly and I have the need to mark it down on the to-do list, it would be nice if this task is also in the task list and the due today, due soon, etc, overview, how it happens, for example, in Todoist.

Sidebar Recurring Tasks with Due Date in Calendar (Please)!

Please, this is absolutely necessary. I have some things like habits that don't happen at the same time every day, so it doesn't make sense to schedule them on the calendar. When I plan a recurring all day task, it doesn't show up in the due section of the sidebar.

Please tell me this is being seriously looked into?
Morgen is a beautiful product but when it comes to recurring tasks its just so frustrating I find myself cursing Morgen and telling myself that next month i need to find a new tool.
All we need to be able to do is:
- Setup a task from the 'left' sidebar (not from the calendar') as a repeating task (i.e. every day, week, month, 3rd Tuesday etc).
- Have that task appear in the due soon, tomorrow, today list when it's repeating due date is reached.
- When we mark it as done, it is removed from the soon, tomorrow, today lists until the next repeating due date is met
- Repeat...
My understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) is that currently If I want to make a task repeat, I have to:
- Create a task from the left sidebar.
- Drag it to the calendar for the 'first date' that i want to have it start repeating on.
- Now that it's an 'event', i can set repeat rules
However the current approach is deeply frustrating because:
1) I don't always (in fact I very rarely) want a repeating task to appear on my calendar) - having to drag it there simply to expose the repeat setting is frustrating.
2) Even if I accept that i have to first move a task to the calendar to unlock the repeat settings, that repeating event now repeats each day / week / month in my calendar but this is utterly useless. Sure, if its actually a repeating event with participants then thats useful - i want a repeating meeting or get-together to appear in my and their calendars. But this is a task that I'm trying to repeat - i should be able to get it to show in my actual task list in Morgen each time it repeats!
Simply displaying it in my calendar each time it repeats causes me to forget to action is literally 100% of the time. And i'm not talking about silly 'drink water every day' style repeating tasks - these are super important repeating tasks such as pay staff, send management reports to investors etc.
I can't tell you how many times I have completely forgotten that I had a repeating task simply because it never appears in my task list on the left hand side.
Surely there has to be a simple solution here? I'm baffled as to why something so central and core as this functionality is being overlooked and useless AI features are being prioritised.
Sorry for the rant but this frustrates me to my very core every time i'm reminded (pun intended) that I've forgotten to action something that I trusted Morgen to remind me about.

Absolutely necessary. +1. Every to-do / task list manager out there has this feature (Todoist, Apple Reminders, etc.)
The idea is that I need to schedule a recurring task. It's not an event, it's just something that comes due periodically. Marking one such task as "done" does not finish the series, it just queues up the next one. Example:
- Process bi-weekly payroll (every two weeks)
- Process federal payroll tax (last business day of each month)
- Prep for annual 1120S (first business day of December)
- Empty my inbox (every day at 4:30pm)
- Send weekly recap to team (every Wed, Friday at 5pm)
There is currently no way to create recurring tasks in Morgen.
Behavior should be that when I mark a recurring task "done," it automatically creates or schedules the next instance of that task. So if I check off "empty my inbox" today, then it will vanish from "due today" and a new one will appear under "due tomorrow."

This is an absolute need

PLEASE tell me this is being worked on. Tasks are broken without this.
Currently if I create a recurring task its useless because each time it repeats, i very rarely see it (as it doesn't appear in my today/tomorrow/due soon lists). If i'm lucky, i might see it in my calendar ON that day - but boy, if i fail to see it in my calendar after that, then you can guarantee that i wont see it again for that month... consequently I am frequently forgetting to do a task each time it repeats - causing me to curse at Morgen for making me forget about it.
Sorry, bit of a rant - but its so frustrating.

This feature is exactly what I'm looking for as well!

Are you asking to show completed tasks in the sidebar? In that case you can show them through the task sidebar settings.
What I think this sounds like, is that you want recurring tasks to appear in the due date specified lists (today, tomorrow, due soon...) Is this what you mean?

Danny Hatcher Hi Danny, the second one. I would like to see the recurring tasks in the to-do list.

Anna: I will adjust the request title to specify.
This is something I would love to see as well 😁

Danny Hatcher Thank you Danny!
Now the repeat option is only on the calendar view, if I plan a task and make it recurrent it doesn't show in the tasks list.
Now it seems that the recurrent option is only an "event thing", but also a task can be recurrent. It would be nice to have it on the to-do list to have a complete overview of what I have to do, have the possibility to mark it as complete, and then visualize it again when necessary. I hope it's clear what I mean.

Anna: An example Drink water everyday:
Drink water due today - shows in today list
After completion
Drink water due tomorrow - shows in tomorrow list

Danny Hatcher Yes! :D

Yes, this please! Would even love a second sidebar for recurring tasks or task templates. It would be easier to see projects and one off tasks in a list next to maintenance tasks instead of scrolling down. Easier to plan on the calendar too
