Saved filtered view save the "Show scheduled tasks" setting.
Create a filtered view with all applicable sources.
Alter the Show scheduled tasks setting.
Save the view.

I think it would be great to see a filter of unscheduled tasks. You could save such a filter for all task managers and see all unscheduled tasks in one place.

I've got quite a few tasks and already start to lose track which ones I have planned.
So I'd like an option to sort them by whether they have been planned.

When you say planned do you mean scheduled onto the calendar?
If yes, you can hide/show scheduled tasks in the sidebar task settings.

Danny Hatcher yes, but there's no filter for unscheduled tasks. In general you still have a huge list with tasks. Those filters dont move the tasks after all, they judt get shown there as well.

Dultus: If you uncheck the 'show scheduled tasks' it will only show unscheduled tasks which what you are looking for unless I am misunderstanding.
The long list of unscheduled tasks can then be grouped and organized by things like task list, priority etc... What options would like to add?
