Task archivation is confusing

When I complete a scheduled task in a mobile app, I'm always asked if I want a task to also be archived.
- I have no idea what task archivation means;
- I'm only using native Morgen tasks, so if archivation is sth related to 3rd party task providers, I shouldn't be bothered with it;
- I'm not prompted similarly, when I complete a task in a desktop app, so I don't see why mobile needs to be different.

Closing as this isn't a request.
On desktop archiving a task removes the task from the sidebar.
If you have multiple sessions of a task, you won't see the archive notification until the last session.
There is also the option to keep a task in the sidebar which shows in the archive popup notification if you still need to work on it.

Danny Hatcher but what is the point of the prompt in the mobile app? What is different when I press or don't press "archive", after I completed the task with android app?
Danny Hatcher
Uladz Zubrycki The archive button is the same but on Mobile it appears after each task session is completed.
If you archive the task, the task will be removed from the task sidebar.

Danny Hatcher could it be possible to archive by default with no need for that prompt to appear?
I guess that's the feature request now.

Uladz Zubrycki You would prefer all tasks be archived by default with the option to keep in the sidebar.
How would you like to be notified if a task as a future session?

Danny Hatcher I'm not using mutisession tasks, that is why this prompt appearing each time is an issue.
I see a few options
1.
- archive by default, but give an opportunity to unarchive. This is what desktop app doing right now. Can't say what the UI should look like, but I'd prefer sth less annoying than the current prompt.
- do not archive, if task already has multiple sessions, prompt in that case.
2.
Give users a global option to enable/disable mutisession tasks, which will allow making UI more specific for each case.
3.
Explicit task attribute to mark each as a one-off or mutisession, with one-off being a default. Adjust behavior based on the task.
1st is the best for me, but might make things worse for people using mutisession tasks extensively. Depends on if you have such people.
